A bit about us.

Hello, I am Grace Lydia, a Multi Award Winning, Cruelty Free and Vegan Friendly Bridal Hair and Makeup Specialist, Professional Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist, 
and the Owner/Director of Grace Lydia Cruelty Free Professional Makeup Artistry and Hair Styling. I also specialise in Trans Feminisation and Masculinisation 
Makeup Artistry as well as covering your makeup and hairstyling needs for all occasions. I operate from my Bespoke Eco Friendly Log Cabin Private Studio 
in Guisborough for Occasion, Prom, Festival, Lessons, Trans Services and Bridal Trials, and available throughout the UK and internationally for Bridal, 
Group Bookings, Ecommerce/Shoots and Glitter Bar Services. We are extremely passionate, dedicated and adore what we do, and are lucky enough to have loyal clients 
travelling far and wide for our services, we are also honoured to be booked to travel far and wide to get our brides and their parties ready for their amazing big days.
We work closely with the LGBTQIA+ Community and as well as our trans feminisation and masculinisation work, we have had the honour of being a part of many 
civil partnership ceremony preparations, and same sex marriage preparations, we are proud allies to the LGBTQIA+ community. As well as this our studio is autism 
friendly, and we have our kits full with different tones, shades and products to ensure everyone who sits in our chair is covered, Inclusivity is our top priority 
as well as excellent customer service and cruelty free and vegan products/kit and have extensive skills and industry experience. 
We are BABTAC (BRITISH ASSOCIATION OF BEAUTY THERAPY AND COSMETOLOGY) Accredited, Verified and insured, with 4+ Years full industry experience, 
alongside a fleet of loyal clientele and testimonials, you can absolutely be rest assured you are in our capable hands. I absolutely love soft glowing, 
lit from within, radiant skin and soft glam however with an extensive range of skills and experience, comes an extensive range of applications to suit your every need, 
whether it is super soft, barely there makeup, to super heavy glam and everything in between. Our loyal client base secures this in our portfolio. 
We do not have a one size fits all approach because every single application is bespoke to our clients, unique and personal, 
it is tailored to the clients preferences whilst enhancing their natural beauty and features. 

We have won both national and regional awards for both our Bridal Hair and Makeup Specialism and Ethical Makeup Artistry and Business Practices.
We have recently won Bridal Hair and Makeup Specialist of the year at the English Hair and Beauty Awards 2020, Vegan Friendly Makeup Artist of the Year 
at the North Prestige Awards 2020 and our most recent accolade was winning Gold across the board/nationally for Makeup Specialist of the Year 2020
at the British Hair and Beauty Talent Awards which topped off a year of amazing awards despite the rocky road 2020 was.
and were finalists at the 2020 Official Makeup Awards for Freelance Makeup Artist of the year.

I started my journey in 2016 where i embarked on the Pro Artistry Diploma at NEMUA which was accredited by babtac and covered professional makeup artistry and basic hair styling, i then started my business officially in November 2016. Since this time i have done countless other courses including a curly blowdry course at Plouise Makeup Academy, Bridal Hair and Makeup Workshops ran by the amazing Keep it Pinned, 1:1 Pro Lessons to ensure i keep up to date, refreshed and at the top of my game with amazing artists such as Millie Ansons, Liv Tay, Rosie Finlan at POUT patrol,  and online courses with Plouise Makeup Academy. I aim to do one 1:1 Lesson with an inspiring makeup artist or hair specialist per year as i feel as though it helps me grow even more as an artist .

In 2018, I made the decision to completely switch my kits to Cruelty Free and Vegan Friendly Products and it was the best decision I have made. All of our products are Cruelty Free (Not being sold in Mainland China where by law it is required to be tested on animals in order to be sold there.) 90% of our kit is also Vegan, including all of our hair products, and the majority of our makeup kit. we are phasing out products that are not vegan so will soon have a 100% vegan makeup kit to match with our fully vegan hair kit.

Our studio is also fully cruelty free, we only use cruelty free and vegan friendly cleaning products from Method and Fabulosa as well as painting and varnishing products for the studio also being Cruelty Free and Vegan Friendly..
In March 2020, i won my first award at the age of 23. Bridal Hair and Makeup Specialist of the year at The English Hair and Beauty Awards 2020-Chapter 2 and  during the UK Lockdown won Vegan Friendly Makeup Artist of the Year at the North Prestige Awards 2020 aged 24 followed by winning national gold at the British Hair and Beauty Talent Awards for Makeup Specialist of the year 2020, as well as being a finalist for the Official Makeup Awards 2020 for Freelance Makeup Artist of the year and a current finalist at The British Hair and Beauty Talent Awards 2020 for Makeup Specialist of the Year..
